Who is TWCA?
TWCA stands for the “Toronto Women’s City Alliance” (formerly known as Toronto Women’s Call to Action). We are a diverse group of women who have been organizing to end the growing silence and invisibility of girls' and women's voices. Learn more about TWCA.
Why the name change?
We wanted to reflect our links to municipal issues, and to expressly identify our interest in changing the City of Toronto. We also wanted to showcase that we are a network – that we represent the diversity and intersectionality of women in our city.
Why did the TWCA come together? Who is involved?
We wanted to support women from diverse backgrounds on equality issues at the City. A team of dedicated Steering Committee Members volunteer their time and efforts to address women and gender equality issues.
