As a part of our program planning, our aim is to organize and execute approximately seven training sessions. The duration of each session would be a half day, spread over seven months to provide training and access to expertise on running for city council.

Sessions will include the following topics:
• Preparing for Election Day: what you should know about collecting data and getting out the vote;
• Fundraising;
• Building an election campaign team;
• Door-knocking: preparing flyers, literature, door knocking sheets to introduce yourself to the neighbourhood;
• Communicating your message and yourself;
• Healthy You: what are some common feelings of people who run for office; how do you stay healthy while you are running?;
• Planning for a life beyond election day;
